Butterfly Valve Batch Supply for an Indonesian Water Treatment Plant
Project Overview
The project supplied large-diameter butterfly valves and resilient-seated gate valves in batches for a new water treatment plant in Indonesia, covering raw water, clean water networks and booster pump stations.
Challenge
The project is a new water treatment plant that required batch supply of valves in multiple sizes within a limited construction period, with a wide size span (DN300–DN1200) and many installation points. The local climate is hot and humid and some points are near the coast, so corrosion protection and long-term reliability are required; the client also focused on supply consistency and stable lead times.
Our Solution
Flanged, wafer and lug butterfly valves plus resilient-seated gate valves were configured to match pipe sizes and available space. EPDM soft seats meet ISO 5208 Rate A zero leakage; near-coast points use coated ductile iron and corrosion-resistant internals. Production and stocking were organized around standardized SKUs with uniform packaging and nameplates, and deliveries were phased on schedule with factory pressure test reports and 3.1 material certificates.
Results
Valves arrived in batches per the construction milestones and passed site installation acceptance; zero-leakage targets were met. The client acknowledged the consistency and lead-time stability of the batch supply, and subsequent maintenance spares and a neighboring water plant project generated repeat orders.
